It was narrated from Abu Hurairah may Allah be pleased with him that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said:
"Charity does not decrease wealth. No one forgives, but Allah increases him in honour, and no one humbles himself before Allah but Allah raises him in status."
[Sahih Muslim, the al-Birr, Nurturing Ties and Manners, Hadeeth No.6592]
The Muslim community is a Community of giving. One that supports each other. See. The believer (muslim) and his brother (or sister) are like a wall-each part supporting the other. There is no progress and development in keeping everything to yourself and not giving.
As people, and living together, we are bound to hurt one another in many ways. But we must be forgiving. Don't we want Allah to forgive us too? Humility is a virtue of the distinguished. But arrogance is blameworthy. Stay afar from it.
Give in charity. Forgive those who have wronged you. And be humble, always. And remember to learn one new thing about your Deen every day. And Allah knows best.
